Langkawi Trip in September

The original planned date for the trip was from the 18th to the 21th of September 08. Some of you guys can't make it to the trip during that time. Thus we're proposing a newer date - bringing the trip forward to the 6th-7th weekend of September 08. It could be for 2 to 3 days. This might be more appropriate as the people who are currently in US and will start their Nott studying term soon might not be able to join this trip originally. With an earlier trip, we can perhaps have another short trip later in September - maybe to somewhere nearby and more convenient.

As for the itinerary, it will only be a short trip - so I'll just leave it to your creativity. The trip is still very on - there will be cameras and pictures and alcohols and lots of fun. Hope you guys can join this trip.
Once again - please reply to confirm your attendance via commenting - I think it is the easiest way to communicate with each other. I would do it through facebook otherwise but that would just make this blog redundant - so let's not let that happen.

Hey guys. This will be the plan for September 08. I'm not quite sure of the exact date but here's the plan so far.
The trip will be to Langkawi Island. It's not to the initially suggested place, which is Laguna@Redang because the rates there were pretty expensive. Anyways - the rates here is pretty reasonable.
It's at Langkasuka Beach Resort in Langkawi (rated no.4 best resort in Langkawi). Me and Zhao have personally spent 2 nights there. For me, I thought that it was a nice place and with a private beach - it's definately a good place to go.

Me and Saolee thought that the Car package would be most useful as we would need a car to get around the island. It would be about RM235 a night for 4 person and this is inclusive of a 10 percent refundable deposit and the car, of course.
What do you think about this trip proposal? Hope you guys would join in the fun. I plan to get very drunk on the first night. Hehehehe

transport should be around rm50 one way... by train to alor setar (rm18), then cab to jetty (rm20 for 4), ferry (18), and cab to hotel (rm15+ for 3 or 4)... just a rough estimate based on the informations on the site...
i've personally been to langkasuka resort myself n yea its a nice place to stay. I'm ok wif it, jus scared the date bit too soon cos i'll be reaching back Msia bout 10th or 11th so the gap is too short to rest n spend a bit of time wif family b4 going away for another vacation again.
Ok - if you don't think that it's suitable then can you suggest a date that you're ok with?
I'm still waiting for MORE replies - so I'll hold the dates there for now until we get a majority vote on a more suitable date.

haha erm...i know this is kind of out of the topic but can i suggest that the next trip would be somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the jungle?? :p

anyways...when is notts 3rd year starting? you people at least give a range of date which is available la... i believe after the 20th of sept,uk people starts to fly back to UK d... i'm available anytime la till end of sept...
The jungle trip - I'll leave it to someone else to plan. This will be the only PE1 trip in the summer as UK ppl will be leaving at the end of September.
Please suggest a date of when you think you would have accumulated enough rest for this trip. Eg. - 16,17,18, etc.
In the mean while - please spread this out to other PE1-ians, eps to those who don't check the blog.

before that - you guys ,if possible, try to make yourself free from the 17th onwards for a period of a few days.
