Lexus LF-A

This is the Lexus LF-A. Lexus unveiled the LF-A sports car concept at the 2005 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The two-seat concept blends the performance of an exotic sports car with the luxury refinements of a Lexus. Designed to express a bold new direction in styling for the Lexus brand, the LF-A concept is a vision closely aligned with the company's Formula One commitment to achieving superiority among its rivals in speed, quickness, agility and reliability. Obviously its not exactly the best looking concept car out there, but its a good start i guess. Considering the real car's design will be aligned with Lexus' L-Finesse Design Programme, i'd say its going to look pretty good. The latest Lexus IS and GS(both styled with L-Finesse -whatever that may mean) looks very good, with unique sporty artistic features. The engine choice is still not finalised yet, though Lexus/Toyota is determined to use an engine with the same configuration of those used in Formula 1. Test mules of this car has been spied using a small-displacement V10 engine, with output well in excess of 500bhp. But with the new F1 regulations -in which the sport will use 2.4 liter V8 engines instead of the norm 3.0 liter V10- the company might have to develop a new engine altogether.
