Singapore and Penang Trip
hey people... how's everyone? XD
Anyways,our august penang trip has failed since most of us are unable to make it sometime this month. But Jo is planning a Singapore trip next month on September,where we will be staying at her place and travel across Singapore one or two of the days. As Zhao's last paper will be on the 7th September(Friday),if possible,we try make of as early as possible after the 7th,probably from the 8th September till the 10th September? Suggestions needed from all of you,thank =)
And also,I will try to plan a Penang trip somewhere mid-late September as a replacement for the previous one. Hopefully by then all of you will be able to make it even though it's like 1-2weeks away after the Singapore trip,as most of us will be leaving back to UK end of September.

since i'm posting this,i will suggest 1st...
S'pore trip:
date:8th sept-10th sept (3days 2 nights - 1st day arrive noon,lepak at jb mayb? 2nd day full day s'pore; 3rd day bac late noon mayb?)
i'm in no matter what is the date agrred by everyone in the end XD
Penang trip:
date:any date fine for me,i will plan it if u ppl came to an agreement on the date.
duration: 3days2nights or 4days3nights
accommodation: i prefer apartment which is near to the beach,then we can drive to the city center for food the whole noon till midnight before we back to the apartment
transport: hopefully we have enuff ppl to drive there,since we will need enough transport to travel around penang island
i'm in for sure as long as this plan is on...
can i suggest penang trip to be a weekend trip also like melaka?? unless its at the end of sept la..
i can only go on either 1 trip tho :(
it's up to everyone for it to be a weekend or weekday trip... for weekdays definitely the rate will be lower,but that shouldnt be a problem... you work till when ar? mid sept?
i suggest most of them to be weekdays since most ppl stop working d during sept. If still working, pls quit thank you LOL jkjk:P ... i prefer weekdays cos everything is cheaper n places will be less packed. oh after singapore can we lepak in JB fr like 1 or 2 more days? if not we travel so far dere den go back so early =.= penang leh i'm ok wif anything.
lol...wan lepak oso need see is it convenient for jo and her family ma... if amny ppl goin,then i dun think it's convenient to stay at her place for so long also @_@
i'm ok with weekends/weekdays. and i dun mind if u all stay a few more days.
i thought of putting the trip on 31st aug before this cos shirley said she'll be in s'pore at that time. but my bro won't be here..so unless u guys drive, we'll have problems moving around.
so..yeah i dun mind any date as long as more ppl can make it
i can go any time except 4,5,6 sept i think...
i work till mid of sept .. thats y b4 that i can only go during weekends. not free during merdeka period tho :(:( or shall we go count down??? lol
31st itself i'm occupied for jus one day. Da next day i shud be able to make it. About driving yet again i dun have the car to drive and my mum will definitely allow me to take her unser. I can be the co-driver. Renyin, can take leave anot? Ur leaving for UK soon and da next time u come back not everybody will be ard so try to fork up some excuse and take leave loh. Sumore mid sept all nottingham ppl start uni edi so I doubt any trips will be made den unless we all fottingham ppl is omitted.
So ppl basically the time frame to arrange trips is before 17th of Sept. After that den i kenot comment edi.
zhao said he has exams till the 7th as well. since so many ppl cannot make it before then, shall we stick to the original plan, 8th to 10th (another day or two is fine if everyone is up for it)?
my concern is...it doesn't look like we have enough time for 2 trips, s'pore and penang.1st week of sept is out cos ren yin, shirley, zhao, wai ken(etc) cannot make it. and nottingham starts on the 17th, so i doubt u all want to travel the weekend before that.
so..maybe we should..vote for one place?

and ppl mind pls comment on the ipoh trip pls. Its jus a simple eating trip, simpler den penang. I'm sure u peeps duwanna miss hanging out wif pui yeen b4 she leaves rite?
erm..true oso la @_@ 2 weeks 2 trips possible,but then not everyone can i tink...
if choose 1...i will choose penang...XD enjoy malysia food before back uk :p

3 days 2 nights? driving to n from will take around 3.5-4hrs each journey...
i would suggest 4days 3 nights... but still...up to u people la XD

i'm fine with weekdays/weekends in sept. it really depends on the ppl who are working.

14th i got wedding dinner to attend and 17th is da start of my uni =.= ... shaun is not free on da 9th ... if weekdays, working ppl, i'm sry to say but u ppl have to take leave edi. Din mean to be rude but i have to stress dis, to make the trip happen, some of u simply have to compromise a bit edi cos its simply impossible to accommodate and satisfy everyone's need and timing. SO currently shaun is not free on the 9th and weekdays ppl working so here's 2 scenarios: leave shaun behind and proceed to go from 8-10th or working ppl pls take leave. I'll leave it to u all to choose.
Oh btw 4days 3 nites would be good :)
oh another thing, next summer holidays, quite some number of ppl will be planning to intern at their respective country they're studying so dun expect less ppl to be returning to msia next year. Wat does dis mean? it means if dere is an trip next year, some faces will be missing. In conclusion, this might be one of the final trip wif most ppl gathered together b4 da next comes out in a very long time? I'll leave the calculation to u ppl. Gracias!
okay, so. we either:
a) go from 6th - 8th, which means those who are working will have to take 2 days' leave
b) proceed with 8th -10th
we go for the option which is convenient for most ppl. so, to those who are working, pls reply =)
4 days 3 nights would be nice but we can always settle for 3 days 2 nights if ppl can't make it.
erm...zhao exam till 7th... so i think 1st option suppose to be 10th-12th? =x haha...u people decide la XD reply plz thx all :P
This is very difficult. i'm sorry but i can't take leave 10-12 sept as i'm already taking leave on 3rd sept.
10-12th very hard lar cos taking 3 days leave in a row is a bit absurd in my opinion. I think sacrifice is unavoidable so how many ppl currently working now? If 6-8th we have to sacrifice Zhao and 8-10th we sacrifice Shaun but 10-12th we sacrifice all the other working ppl. I shall let the thinking and votes for u all.
why not 7,8,9th sept?
