Just got back home from college, and found a letter addressed to Mr. Thillaisundaram

It mentioned a conditional offer (!!) to read the that degree Mr Thillaisundaram applied for at that university!

Who is Mr Thillaisundaram??? Me or Ashok now??? We both applied to Imperial.

We think its me though... because I applied for Math with Physics (Ashok applied for Physics) and the letter was from the Department of Math.. But some unis join the two Departments under one.. so can't be sure =(

Its all very confusing...This is proof that having a twin is troublesome >.<

Just Like Heaven

Exams Over!!! And some of your exams paper

I believe everyone should be happy exam's over. So after the movie n dinner with Hafriz yesterday, I went to a cc n play dota on the Battlenet with whole bunch of strangers noobs in a 4vs4 game( except for 2 or 3 who are quite good). I've got myself 2 Heart of Tarasque at first with Skeleton King and then Hong Ping was there. He told me to get anotehr Tarasque n 2 plate mails, so i got 'em went to kill Roshan with a vengful spirits aid(allies). SK's life just can't be reduced by Roshan. I think can even solo Roshan. Then I went for the firebush but the game ended early. Sigh....

Ok, i've got some of your exam papers with me. Went to find my own exam paper today. After more than one hour of search, I couldn't find my paper but found some of your papers ( Zhao, Ren Yin, Jit Han, Daniel, etc etc etc) . I've decided to keep those papers as I think all of you will have hard time searching for those papers later cause the mess this time is really really in a mess. Paper was everywhere not only on the table but on the ground as well, and my legs got really really tired when I had to search those papers which are on the ground( well, good excercise, i think). Later got too tired and bored, then i gave up searching for my own papers. I will give you back the paper when classes starts, ok?

If any of you have seen my paper, pls keep it for me. If you have found my paper n kept it for me, just drop me an sms.

Birthday Chart!

One of the birthday charts is DONE! Wo0t!! Sorry for the delay. My mind was a little too fickle minded to choose between this one and the other four. I'll reconsider posting them soon. Some of them are overly crappy. ^^;;

Anyway, I'm so sorry about the wordings. I've tried over a 100 colours just to make sure its visible. Unfortunately, none of them fit except this one (almost visible though) Grr... Sorry about the lines and scratches, I almost crumbled the paper when I drew the dragon and the not so visible rabbit. Sorry about the dust effects and lack of resolution too, I just had my scanner out of the store after 5 months. Hae... ^^;; But all in all, the information is correct unless someone gave me false information. By the way, the trick to see the not-so-clear wordings is to enlarge it until you see it.

Well, I'll work harder for the next birthday chart. I'll make sure the next one would not have such problems, yeah? ^^;; Kya~ Oh... and sorry for the bad drawing too.

Strange...

A strange thing happened (very) recently and I just had to blog about it. :P

You see I planned to wake up early to study thinking skills tonight, but forgot to set my alarm :(
However by pure chance I woke up in the middle of the night and guess what time it was???

The Exorcism of Emily Rose

The story follows the events after the death of Emily Rose, taking place during the prosecution of a priest who was accused of the girl's murder, with flashbacks of Emily during her stages of possible possession…I say possible because the film presents the story in two views at the same time.If the priest is correct and the girl was possessed by a demon, he is innocent. If the authorities called by the prosecution are correct, she died of psychotic epileptic disorder, and the priest created complications leading to her death. If, on the other hand, exorcism theory is correct, drugs given to the girl to treat her "disorder" made her immune to exorcism and led to her death.You can see everything from the faith point of view - or the science point of view. And you walk out of the film and you still don’t know which side to take…or you will. And that’s how you may be totally freaked out by this film, even if you’re not scared to death, you’ll be enthralled by the exciting courtroom drama that makes up most of the film.
The movie is told through flashbacks, where Father Moore (Tom Wilkinson) is on trial. He has been offered a deal (plead guilty to reckless endangerment and do six years of a 12-year sentence), but he refuses it: "I don't care about my reputation and I'm not afraid of jail. All I care about is telling Emily Rose's story." His lawyer Erin Bruner (Laura Linney) despairs, and yet admires him for his conviction. She herself does not believe in demons. The prosecutor, Ethan Thomas (Campbell Scott) is a churchgoer and does presumably believe, but lawyers sometimes argue against what they believe to be true. That's their job. Father Moore has authorization from the archdiocese, but after he is charged with murder the church authorities order him to accept plea bargaining and create as little scandal for the church as possible. The church is curiously ambivalent about exorcism. It believes that the devil and his agents can be active in the world, it has a rite of exorcism, and it has exorcists. On the other hand, it is reluctant to certify possessions and authorize exorcisms, and it avoids publicity on the issue. What is fascinating about "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" is that it asks a secular institution, the court, to decide a question that hinges on matters the court cannot have an opinion on. Either Emily was possessed by a demon and Father Moore did his best to save her, or she had a psychotic condition and he unwittingly did his best to kill her. The defense and the prosecution mount strong arguments and call persuasive witnesses, but in the end it all comes down to the personal beliefs of the jury. A juror who does not believe in demons must find the priest guilty, if perhaps sincere. A juror who does believe in demons must decide if Emily Rose was possessed, or misdiagnosed.

Erin, the defendant, works for a powerful law firm retained by the archdiocese. She wants to be named a partner, but she won't be if she agrees with Father Moore's wish to appear on the witness stand; the archdiocese wants to make a deal leading to a quick settlement, with no testimony from the priest, and the archdiocese, not the priest, is the client who is paying. Which way does Erin turn? The film is fascinating in the way it makes legal and ethical issues seem as suspenseful as possession and exorcism. This movie is a nearly perfect film- a film that I will remember for a very long time. It is a harrowing, shocking, terrifying, and terribly sad motion picture event that will make you question your own faith - and will definitely ask you to ask yourself some hard questions.

My verdict - 9 out of 10

BTW this story is based on the true story of Anneliese Michel, a young German woman who suffered the same fate as the fictional Emily Rose in the 1970s.

Exorcism of Emily Rose and Thinking Skills? O_o

I won't write a review about the movie :P I'll leave that to Hafriz or whoever else wants to write one..

But I think everyone should go watch the movie before the Thinking Skills paper. Trust me... you'll learn how to use all the thinking skills terms in high class ways and you'll learn unique ways of spotting flaws and forming conclusions :P

Shiny claimed 'best of all consoles' graphics, but OMG the final game looks like utter trash (on my XBox) and the framerate chugs every 2 seconds or so!

Darn it.. Was soo looking forward to playing this.. It's better than Enter The Matrix, but thats not saying much as that game was also rubbish

To everyone, thank you so much for everything yesterday and for taking the trouble to come for the celebration even though you all had to study for exams. Michelle, thanks for putting in so much of effort to host the whole thing! You all are the best! (Well, probably except for the part where I was given the wonderful surprise of being smeared with cream and thown into the pool) But either way, yesterday was a lot of fun. To those whose birthdays are after this: be careful because I'm sure you will be treated with even more brutal surprises..hehe...

The twins were very lucky that not being thrown by them. Nevertheless, it was quite fun to have a party like this.
